Fun with Survivor Interviews

I never ever thought I would be vacuuming and dusting my house because “The Press” was coming over.:) !!

The build-up to the Premier of Survivor Gabon is turning out to be a really fun experience as well. I am so enjoying sharing everything with family and friends so had to add it all to my blog site. I have had several great phone interviews.

One was with Ron’s company for the Horace Mann Newsletter. Emma’s school newsletter announced that Emma T (of course there is more than one Emma ) in Mrs Coopers class Grandmother is playing Survivor Gabon. My SAcuba Dive club is putting a blurb in about me, A new online newspaper www.thealternativepress.com is using me to welcome their site.

I am giving a talk at Curves about setting goals and never giving up and Curves is looking into putting something into their National newsletter. I have 2 requests for talks at Rotary meetings and one youth group. I also had a really fun interview with The Californian one of our region’s newspapers. The journalist even took some photos of the photographer taking photos of me. How fun is that.

She said I obviously collect photos of my Survivor Journey after watching my CD of “My Journey to Survivor”. So today Ron brought in the Sunday paper and plopped it on the counter and there staring up at me was me.!!! on the front page and half the page. That was soo cool.

A 1/3 page write up on the front page with another 1/3 page on page 6. This week I am having an interview on camera at home with San Diego TV channel 8, then one with the local KZSW TV station, and another press interview with “The Valley News ” newspaper.

As you can see I am having a lot of fun with this as the whole experience has not been an everyday run of the mill experience. !!!! The whole focus of my interviews at this point is my journey to get on and the reasons why I wanted to do it. I will add more of this fun if it happens. It is great to share.

I am so glad that you are having fun with this. I stopped watching Survivor because I couldn’t stand the politics (I know thats what the show is about). I decided to give Sruvivor: Gabon a try and I was so upset at the first episode. I saw at the last challenge how you were helping your tribe roll the boulder and someone said, “Get out of the way,” which I thought was disrespectful. Then Jeff shouts out, “The Fang tribe is catching up no thanks to Gillian.” With bad press like that, whou wouldn’t get voted out! It was just awful. I’m so glad that you are having fun with this experience. I doubt that I’ll continue to watch the rest of Survivor since you got voted out. YOU WERE MY FAVORITE CONTESTANT! Keep up the inspiring work!!!

    I love you Gillian
You are one of the best survivor contestants the show has ever casted
and you are truly an inspirational and delightful and has always
shown your morale support with your tribe members.
I wish you could stick around for a much longer time
but apparently your tribe is just unfavorable for your own sake
It’s slight disappointing to see you go at this early stage of the game.
But I’m sure you are as happy as ever because
you can be able to attain this experience in Africa
That’s not what many people can get.
and hope you can bring your always positive attitude and spirit ever after!

    Sorry for my grammatical mistake..
Wish you the best of luck
    and LOVE.
    Stan^^

Hello and thanks Becky and Stan,
Despite how the whole thing turned out I will forever be grateful for the most awesome experience. There was so much more to it than was aired and none of us cared for my editing but….C’est la vie TV.!!! I will forever keep my positive spirit and the hundreds of people who were inspired by my efforts have been the true success of my game.
Not a million $’s but priceless
